WNBA star Paige Bueckers has confirmed her relationship with her former UConn teammate Azzi Fudd after months of speculation.
The athlete, 23, publicly revealed their romance during an interview with WAG Talk Thursday while on on the WNBA All-Star orange carpet.
“How well do you know your D1 girlfriend?” the interviewer asked, playing a red carpet game with Bueckers.
The Dallas Wings guard correctly answered an array of questions about Fudd, 22, including where she went to high school, the year she was named Gatorade Player of the Year, her rank in the class of 2021 and the year in which she made her first collegiate start.
Nearing the end of the questions, Bueckers was asked what Fudd’s phone case says, which was revealed to say “Paige Buckers’ girlfriend” in a viral Instagram Story in June.
To conclude the quiz segment, Bueckers was hit with one last question: “Girlfriend reveal it’s…?” and she confirmed, “Azzi Fudd.”
Speaking with the same interviewer, Bueckers was quick to choose Fudd when asked who she would trust to make a “last second shot” to save her if “her life was on the line.”
The UConn alum also gave a sweet look into their relationship, sharing that Fudd picks out her sneakers for each of her games.
Excited fans flooded the comment section of the video, many in disbelief that Bueckers confirmed their relationship.

Rumors of their romance began swirling after the former teammates won after they won the 2025 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament together in April.
Earlier this month, fans noticed the athletes sporting matching necklaces and the pair were seen holding hands.
Bueckers played into the rumors on Wednesday at the Espy’s when she shared a photo with Fudd on the red carpet on her Instagram Story and captioned it with three hot face emojis, per Parade.
Bueckers graduated from UConn in May 2024 and entered the 2025 WNBA Draft, where she was selected as the first overall pick by the Dallas Wings.
Fudd graduated the same year as her girlfriend but is currently pursuing an MBA at the university and will be returning for her final season of eligibility in the 2025-26 season.
