Will Malik Nabers play against Cowboys? PA announcement might confirm Giants WR's status

4 hours ago 3

We are just hours away from kickoff of the Week 1 game between the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys and we still don't have a definitive answer on the status of wide receiver Malik Nabers.

Nabers practiced in full all week but was given the questionable tag on Friday for the contest on Sunday.

Nabers and head coach John Harbaugh did not confirm his status during the week, either.

However, we might have gotten our answer in the most unlikely way possible because of a public address announcement at the stadium before kickoff.

Will Malik Nabers play vs. Cowboys?

According to NBC sports anchor Newy Scruggs, the Giants' PA announcer listed the Giants' starting lineup for Week 1 and included Nabers in it.

"I’m at MetLife Stadium right now. The PA announcer was going over starting lineups for the Giants. He said Malik Nabers name," Scruggs wrote. "So the wide receivers gonna be a go against the Cowboys."

We will still be on the lookout for the list of inactives an hour and a half before kickoff to confirm, but right now it looks like Nabers will go.
