Will Jack Grealish reunite with Man City legend in Serie A?

Manchester City have added quite a few new faces to their squad this summer. However, some also bid their goodbyes to the club, and reports suggest another might come soon.

Man City's Jack Grealish has been linked with a move away from the Etihad since the conclusion of the 2024/25 season. The English star started in just seven Premier League matches last campaign after drastically ranking low in Pep Guardiola's pecking order.

In City's last league match of the previous campaign, Guardiola was asked to share his thoughts on Grealish's future at the club. To which the Catalan manager responded,

"Of course Jack has to play. He's an unbelievable player that has to play football every three days. It didn't happen this season and last season either. He needs to do it. With us or another place. It's a question for Jack, his agent and the club," as per ESPN.

Now, Grealish is reportedly considering a move to Italy and could be following Man City legend Kevin De Bruyne's footsteps. The Belgian maestro recently joined Napoli on a two-year deal.

What's next for Manchester City's Jack Grealish?

Grealish recently visited Italy for some individual training sessions, after agreeing to train on his own when he returns to the Etihad Campus for pre-season.

The 29-year-old has reportedly attracted transfer interest from West Ham United and Newcastle United throughout the summer, and now, Napoli have emerged as another option for him.

Recently, Grealish spoke with fans during his vacation on the Amalfi Coast, where he is practising his own individual training regime. He has been seen practicing on football pitches in Ravello in Italy's Campania region.

A municipal councillor of Scala, Emanuele Falcone, has revealed that Grealish has not turned down the rumors of him joining Napoli and told Radio Marte,

"Grealish has booked our sports facility for the whole week, from Monday to Thursday. On Friday, he might pop over to Naples. He trained very seriously, like a true professional," as per the Manchester Evening News.

"Lots of fans stopped him for a photo and asked him if he really could come to Napoli? Him? Never a denial, just laughter and winks. In fact, he let slip a joke, 'You already have De Bruyne in Napoli.'"

With the 2026 World Cup upcoming, Grealish will be looking to get some regular minutes on the pitch, especially after he was left out of England's squad for the 2024 Euros.

If Grealish makes the move to Napoli this summer, he will be sharing the pitch alongside De Bruyne again. The duo has played 92 matches together for Man City and have five joint goal participations.
