Will Ferrell is reportedly on pause from filming his Netflix golf comedy after the actor sustained an injury.
According to TMZ, the “Anchorman” star, 58, suffered a minor injury that was not “serious.”
But, it kept him from being able to film scenes at the Bicycle Casino, located outside of Los Angeles.
The Post reached out to Ferrell and Netflix for comment.
The outlet reports that the show’s producers re-arranged the filming schedule while the “Saturday Night Live” alum recovers.
The show is a 10-episode series about Ferrell playing a fictional golf star named Lonnie “The Hawk” Hawkins.
Luke Wilson, who was also in the 2003 comedy “Old School” with Ferrell, will play another golfer in the show.
Several fellow “SNL” alums will appear on the show, including Molly Shannon, 61, and Chris Parnell, 58.
“American Vandal” and “22 Jump Street” star Jimmy Tatro will play Ferrell’s son, who is also a pro golfer.
The untitled series marks Ferrell’s first TV show, as his career after “SNL” has primarily been on the big screen.
Ferrell is no stranger to playing fictional characters who are legends in their respective fields, such as news anchor Ron Burgundy in “Anchorman,” and the NASCAR driver Ricky Bobby in 2006’s “Talladega Nights.”
Most recently, Ferrell was in the 2024 documentary “Will & Harper,” a departure from his usual work. It focused on Ferrell’s friendship with former “SNL” writer Harper Steele, and chronicled the duo’s road trip amid her transition journey.
After “Will & Harper” didn’t get an Oscar nomination, Ferrell appeared on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” and jokingly told the Academy to “suck it.”
“Especially the doc branch, the doc branch of the academy. You don’t want to hang out with the doc branch. What a bunch of losers,” he said in February.
“In fact, I hope there’s some of them here tonight. See, if you’re a member of the doc branch — suck it!”
Netflix hasn’t announced a premiere date for his golf comedy yet.
