When the Pittsburgh Steelers were eliminated from the playoffs, many thought that would be the last time we saw Aaron Rodgers on a football field.
Having done everything there is to do in the game, the thought was that Rodgers would walk off into the sunset and retire as one of the game's greats.
But then Pittsburgh hired Mike McCarthy as head coach. Now, the tables have turned, and the prospect of Rodgers returning, while still fleeting, is at least a thought.
Well, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, it might be more than just a thought.
"My understanding is, the odds are increasing," Pelissero said on NFL GameDay Morning via NFL.com.

Rodgers returning for a 22nd season?
While it is great that Pelissero stated the odds are increasing, that doesn't mean Rodgers will come back.
After all, it will be essentially the same team as last year, and the Steelers barely made it into the playoffs. Will things be different under McCarthy? Maybe, but even having Rodgers reunite with his former head coach, for some, will only delay the inevitable -- the Steelers need a change.
Will Howard is on the roster, and some fans might want to see the young QB in action so the franchise can see what it has in him.
Are the Steelers going to the Super Bowl with Rodgers? Not likely. So why not give Howard, or another younger quarterback, the keys to the offense and see what you have?
