The Minnesota Wild are a team interested in Vincent Trocheck, and there's only a couple days before Friday's NHL trade deadline to get a deal done.
Turns out, they're offering quite a bit to try and acquire the center from the New York Rangers.
ESPN's Emily Kaplan revealed the Wild's offer in a new article Tuesday night:
"(Minnesota's) trade offer I believe centers around prospect Charlie Stramel and a 2027 first-round pick as well as another player or prospect."
Stramel was the No. 21 overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft by the Wild. He currently plays at Michigan State, where he's one of the best collegiate hockey players in the country.
It makes sense that the Rangers would want both an already-determined prospect in a deal for Trocheck, as well as the chance to pick their own in the draft.
"The most likely player to be moved is Trocheck," Kaplan writes of the remaining Rangers. "The league is expecting it, and so is the player."

Trocheck isn't close to free agency, which both raises his cost for other teams and also gives the Rangers firmer ground to stand on if they decide to keep him.
"Rangers GM Chris Drury has told peers that because he has Trocheck under contract for three more seasons, he doesn't necessarily have to do anything now," Kaplan writes. "That could just be posturing."
If it's just posturing by Drury, the hockey world will know soon enough.
The trade deadline is Friday at 3 p.m. ET (2 p.m. CT). There's not much more time for games. It's time to, at least potentially, get deals done.
