A wiener dog named “Barbie” anxiously awaited her turn while getting ready to strut her stuff in the “Best Beach Outfit” contest. She was all decked out in pink and beads.

Her owner said it was her second time at the festival, the first time for her pup, as she explained how she wouldn’t miss it for the world.

This year’s event marks the 10th anniversary for the wiener-shaped pups event at Huntington Beach.

And while the contests are fun, the big event that draws the massive crowd of spectators is the Dachshund Derby, in which dozens of wiener dogs race for the finish line and the chance to be the top dog.

“Our goal is to have fun celebrating our love for our little wieners, to promote rescues and adoptions of local pups, and to raise awareness about IVDD ((Intervertebral Disc Disease),” a message on the site read.

IVDD is a spinal condition that greatly affects Dachshunds, causing severe pain, nerve damage and more.
