Actor-singer and Demi Lovato's ex-fiancé, Max Ehrich, has reportedly been placed on psychiatric hold after fans grew alarmed over his behavior online over the weekend. The actor told TMZ in a report on Tuesday, November 4, that an ambulance came to take him to a mental health facility in southeast Florida on Saturday, November 1.
According to the actor, per the outlet, the involuntary psych hold happened after his Instagram followers alerted the police over a series of erratic posts and provocative photos he shared on social media. His fans were reportedly concerned that he was having a nervous breakdown, hence they raised red flags to the police, prompting them to storm into his parents' house and intervene.
After the assessment by the police, they reportedly decided that he needed further evaluation and brought him for a psychiatric assessment under Florida's Baker Act. According to the report, Max Ehrich stayed at the facility for 72 hours. And days after the reported psychiatric hold, the actor is making huge allegations against the Florida facility where he was reportedly brought in.

He further shared his dismay over what allegedly happened in the facility that he "trusted."
Max Ehrich was recently arrested for domestic violence
Around a month before he was put on an involuntary psychiatric hold, Max Ehrich was arrested in Florida and stayed in jail for hours for domestic violence. The 34-year-old actor was reportedly booked into St. Lucie County jail on October 8, according to People.
He was arrested and charged with battery on a person 65 years or older after reportedly attacking his mom. According to the police report obtained by TMZ, the actor was allegedly using nitrous oxide before the attack incident with his mom, which he reportedly live-streamed at their home in Florida.
A neighbor reportedly tried to alert the police about what happened after Max Ehrich went to them for help, accusing her son of becoming violent with her after an argument. The outlet also quoted the actor's mom telling the police that her son "heavily abuses inhalants."
According to People, Ehrich's arrest records included a reference to the Leo Baker Act, which is a Mental Health Act in Florida that applies to people with mental illness who need crisis services. The Young and the Restless actor didn't stay long in jail. He was reportedly released in the afternoon of the same day after posting a $1000 bond.
Two days later, on October 10, Max Ehrich spoke up about his arrest. He revealed on Instagram that he was on his way to a rehab facility after a "traumatizing experience." He referenced "being kidnapped" and people getting him "hooked on" something that is sold at local stores.
He shared his appreciation to everyone who encouraged him to get help in a subsequent post later that day. He posted a photo of himself with a blood pressure cuff on at a doctor's office on his Instagram, telling everyone struggling that it's "brave to seek help" in the caption.
