You know it's a big game when Marlins Man is there.
Some prefer "Marlins Guy," but you get the idea.
World Series Game 3 certainly qualifies, and there he is.
Behind home plate, clearly visible on the Fox television broadcast, is a man in an orange Miami Marlins jersey. Just where he belongs.

Who is Marlins Man?
Marlins Man is a 69-year old man named Laurence Leavy.
Leavy is a lawyer.
He began showing up at sporting events in 2012 in his orange Marlins jersey.
There is sometimes an impersonator of Leavy at games, but at World Series Game 3, it appears to be the real him.
Why does Marlins Man come to sports games?
Marlins Man is clearly a big sports fan.
He has been at the World Series, Super Bowl, NBA Finals, Kentucky Derby, Stanley Cup Finals, College World Series and more.
He first was noticed in the 2012 NBA postseason watching the Miami Heat with their Big Three.
He attended the 2012 World Series, too, and his rise was off and running.
Marlins Man told NJ.com that he pays for his front-row seats in cash, but he does use frequent-flyer miles and hotel points on his journeys.
If he's there, you know it's important.
