From TikTok to Reddit, discourse around the "YSL makeup basket" story has been absolutely everywhere online. While we may or may not all agree that the husband shouldn't have given it to his female co-worker, the mystery remains, what beauty finds were inside the basket in the first place?! We took a deeper look into this internet rabbit hole, and we're pretty sure we found the correct YSL products.
Originally posted by Haleemarh Gumel as a thread on X, the story details how her husband was given a gift basket filled with Yves Saint Laurent makeup and Godiva chocolates. Instead of gifting it to his wife, he gave it to his female co-worker. At first, all we had was the tweets and TikTok storytimes that read out the thread. Then, a photo was unearthed. Before the original tweet was deleted, users managed to grab a screenshot of the basket itself.
With the photo in hand, we went into detective mode. We zoomed in and compared packaging to find what was probably included in the basket—and somehow, the husband's actions became more egregious.
