SAN ANTONIO — The Warriors were not yet a dynasty.
Then Mike Brown helped them become one.
After winning the championship in the 2014-15 season, they famously – after leading 3-1 – lost in seven games to the Cavaliers in the 2015-16 Finals. They subsequently signed Kevin Durant in free agency in what became one of the most discussed moves in NBA history.
But they made an addition that garnered much less discourse – hiring Brown as an assistant to replace Luke Walton on Steve Kerr’s staff.
