Why PPR fantasy football is the worst and it’s time to move on

Of all the lightbulb moments Benjamin Franklin had in his lifetime, this idea is sneakily everlasting: Nothing can be said to be certain except death and taxes … and PPR. 

OK, maybe we embellished a tad. After all, in a utopia, maybe they don’t have taxes. And who knows, with the rate of advancement of AI, perhaps we can one day conquer the plague of death. 

But it seems there is no escape, ever, from PPR. 

The points per reception scoring format in fantasy football gained popularity nearly two decades ago, as a response to the enormously high demand for bell-cow running backs.
