Miguel Rojas was a late scratch from the Los Angeles Dodgers' lineup on Tuesday, but he's back in on Wednesday.
It's a move that has surprised Dodgers fans on both accounts, but there's now more news about what's really happening.
Rojas learned Tuesday of the death of his father, Miguel Rojas Sr.
On Wednesday, Rojas is taking the field in Toronto with a heavy heart.

Why is Miguel Rojas playing for Dodgers today?
Rojas is playing simply because he requested the opportunity.
This is what The Athletic's Fabian Ardaya shared on X on Wednesday:
"Dave Roberts said he does expect Miguel Rojas to go on leave at some point following the passing of his father, but said Rojas approached him and said he wanted to be in the lineup today."
Rojas will have his father watching from the great baseball stadium in the sky as the Dodgers infielder returns to the site of the biggest moment of his career.
It was Game 7 of the 2025 World Series when Rojas hit an improbable game-tying homer in the ninth inning before L.A. won in extra innings.
He'll forever be a Dodgers legend for that moment.
And on this night, he just wants to be on the field with his teammates as he works through personal tragedy.
