Kate Cassidy is getting rid of some old ink — temporarily.
On Tuesday, the girlfriend of late singer Liam Payne shared a pic at Skin Club Miami laser studio to her Instagram Story, captioning it “tattoo removal today.”
She posted a video of the laser removal process on her hand, blitzing a “444” tattoo, which was originally done in tribute to Payne after his tragic 2024 death.
Cassidy quickly clarified, however, that she “decided to get some tattoos removed that were done poorly, will be getting redone eventually.”
The influencer has more tattoos in honor of Payne, including angel wings, the number four on her left ring finger, “LP” on her wrist and a wilted rose on her thumb.
After tattooing the number pattern on her hand almost two years ago, it was widely reported that the numbers were the couple’s “angel number” that represents “love and support.”
Payne died in October 2024 in Buenos Aires when he fell from a third-floor balcony after the hotel staff locked the singer, who was under the influence of drugs and alcohol, in his room. The One Direction singer was 31.
One year after his death, Cassidy told Page Six that it took her two months of “dealing with that grief and pain” to begin to “live my life” and “accept” the tragedy.
The tattoo removal process is not an easy one, though Cassidy’s art is not extensive and likely only needed a couple of treatments.
Meanwhile, Pete Davidson debuted nearly bare arms after spending close to $200,000 to remove most of his body tattoos, which he’s been working on for six years and will take another decade to complete.
