The Philadelphia 76ers have learned through the years to play it safe with Joel Embiid.
That's what's happening so far this season.
In each of the 'Sixers' first couple games, they've played Embiid for 20 minutes rather than a full starter's workload.
And now, they're giving him some rest.
Embiid isn't taking the floor Monday against the Orlando Magic.

Why isn't Joel Embiid playing tonight?
Joel Embiid is sitting out Monday night against the Magic as a precaution.
The 76ers are playing the first game of a back-to-back, and they want Embiid to get a chance to stay healthy and rest before the second game.
The injury management is officially for Embiid's left knee.
With Embiid out, Adem Bona will likely start at center with more time for Andre Drummond, too.
When is Joel Embiid coming back?
Joel Embiid is slated to return to the 76ers' lineup Tuesday.
Philadelphia will take on the Washington Wizards in the second game of a back-to-back, and after Embiid sits, he'll be back on the floor.
Embiid may still be facing his 20-minute restriction, but that hasn't been announced one way or the other by the 76ers.
