Indiana Fever guard Lexie Hull remains the only player to have played with both Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese. She’s teammates with Clark and played with Reese in the Rose BC of the Unrivaled tournament.
She offered a rare insight into the lives of both players when she spoke with “Glamour” magazine and published on Monday.
“Playing with both of those players, playing with every player, everyone’s a good person,” Lexie Hull said. “I think that’s what fans don’t see all the time, that these people aren’t just cussing at the refs, pushing people down. That’s not who they are off the court, and people need to know that.”Clark and Reese are two of the most polarizing figures in the WNBA. While their arrival brought an unprecedented level of popularity and financial success to the league, they’ve divided fans and built a “cult-like” following.
Last season for Clark was one to forget. She was plagued with injuries. She was ruled out for the season after playing in only 13 games for the Fever during the 2025 season.
Angel Reese, on the other hand, continued her double-double run. She recorded 23 double-doubles last season, but her sophomore season was marked by a controversial explosive interview with the Chicago Tribune, where she publicly criticized her team and teammate Courtney Vandersloot.
Lexie Hull speaks on former teammate DeWanna Bonner’s Fever exit
Lexie Hull was shocked at the sudden exit of former teammate DeWanna Bonner. She asserted that the moment came with no explanation but it brought the team together.
“I was super, super, super excited because finally there’s a [player in my position] that I can look up to that has won in the league and has all these accomplishments and knows what it takes, and I can learn something from her,” Hull said. “And then she randomly leaves, and we’re all just kind of like, ‘What happened?’ We were never given an explanation.”Bonner signed a one-year deal with the Fever during the 2025 offseason. While she started the first three games, she came off the bench for the next six. It was reported that she informed the Fever front office that she wasn’t a fit for the organization. She left for the Phoenix Suns, where she spent the majority of her career.
