Why Eva Longoria skipped close friend Lauren Sánchez’s extravagant wedding to Jeff Bezos

Eva Longoria was absent from her longtime pal Lauren Sánchez’s star-studded wedding to Jeff Bezos because she’s filming her CNN series “Eva Longoria: Searching for Spain,” Page Six can confirm.

Additionally, we’re told the actress’ husband, José Bastón, recently underwent shoulder surgery.

While Sánchez and Bezos’ $50 million three-day wedding extravaganza in Venice, Italy, was making headlines over the weekend, Longoria and a sling-bound Bastón were photographed on a beach in Marbella, leading many to wonder whether she and the bride had a falling out.

But Page Six is told there is no tension between Sánchez and Longoria, who has a residence in the Spanish city.

Their reps did not immediately respond to our requests for comment.

Notably, the “Desperate Housewives” star, 50, celebrated the former news anchor ahead of her big day.

Longoria was one of the many famous faces who joined Sánchez, 55, in Paris last month for her bachelorette party.

In fact, the duo snapped holding hands during the ultra-luxe celebration.

But even that cameo was a stretch for the busy working mom.

“I had to pop in and out, so I wasn’t there as long,” Longoria later told People at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, where she and Sánchez posed for photos together.

“But yeah, it’s so nice to celebrate love. It’s just the best feeling in the world to be there and go, ‘Yay, love.'”

Longoria, who was in town to shoot “Eva Longoria: Searching for France,” added, “Paris is great.”

The other celebrities who attended Sánchez’s bachelorette bash were Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner and Katy Perry, who also skipped the nuptials.

Like Longoria, Perry’s absence was due to work commitments, as she is currently on her “Lifetimes” tour.

Interestingly, her very recent ex-fiancé, Orlando Bloom, showed up to the wedding weekend solo, which the pop star reportedly viewed as a “f–k you.”
