Darwin Nunez and Liverpool are ready to part ways in this summer transfer window.
Nunez fell further behind in Liverpool head coach Arne Slot's pecking order in the 2024/25 season, starting in only 17 out of the 47 appearances he made while registering 14 goal contributions.
Several reports have suggested that Nunez wants to make a move away from Anfield for more regular minutes on the pitch, and Liverpool are open to this potential transfer if an offer matches their asking price.
Liverpool have set a price tag of around €50-60 million for Nunez.
While the price tag for Nunez may startle most, the Reds are looking to cut their losses, considering they signed the Uruguayan star from Benfica in 2022 for an initial fee of £64 million, which could potentially rise to £85 million with add-ons.
Napoli emerged as a top suitor for Nunez, who reportedly was also keen on joining the Serie A side. They also submitted an offer for him, but it did not match Liverpool's demands.

Now, Napoli have recently informed Liverpool that they are no longer pursuing a deal for Nunez, with the transfer fees being too hefty, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian club have decided to acquire Serie A club Udinese striker Lorenzo Lucca's signature instead.
What's next for Darwin Nunez and Liverpool?
Romano also reported that even though Napoli's potential deal fell through, Nunez is still expected to take his leave from Liverpool this summer.
The 26-year-old has also received attention from Saudi Pro League clubs, who are expected to be more open to Liverpool's ask for the player.
Nunez's current contract with Liverpool is valid until the summer of 2028.
