Last week, the Los Angeles Chargers broke out mustard-yellow uniforms.

This week, they've pulled out an older-school look with a modern twist that will, for many, evoke memories of LaDainian Tomlinson and Antonio Gates.

The Chargers are rocking a sweet navy blue ensemble for Thursday Night Football in Week 8 against the Minnesota Vikings.

Why are the Chargers wearing navy blue throwback uniforms?

These are a modern version of the uniforms once worn by LT, Gates and Philip Rivers.

The Chargers call these their "Super Chargers" getup.

According to Chargers.com, "The uniforms are a nod to the 1990s - early 2000s era in which the Chargers claimed the AFC Championship, appeared in Super Bowl XXIX and began a run of AFC West titles."

Week 8 marks the debut of these uniforms.

"The new threads are comprised of an all-navy set that includes a modernized helmet (with the identical finish of the previous era), jersey and pants that the Chargers will wear at home in Week 8 against the Vikings," according to Chargers.com.

The Chargers plan to wear these uniforms again in Week 13.
