The media loves asking Shedeur Sanders questions, and the interest is always there in what he's going to say. Ever since the Cleveland Browns drafted him back in 2025 as the 144th overall pick, after days of wondering if he could ever hear his name, he's been in the spotlight.
Now, Sanders is apologizing to a reporter for something he said.
Sanders, of course, is in a heated quarterback battle with Deshaun Watson. Both of them want the start, but only one of them will get it. Sanders wasn't happy with how he handled a question about that earlier this month.
Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders apologizes
Earlier this week, the second-year quarterback apologized to reporters for the way he answered a question about that quarterback competition.
During his presser, he said, "I want to apologize for how things was last time I came up here before y'all. I dislike when it's a lot of separation."
Sanders added, "When something gets between the team and people get painted a certain way and all this different type of stuff. So that's where I get frustrated, and I shut down. Because it just doesn't help us win."
Sanders was talking about a moment he had with a reporter on Aug. 1 when asked about the competition with Watson. Sanders said at the time, "I answered this question a thousand times. We focus on ourselves and what we do, and what we need to do to get better each and every day. So, that's just something y'all think about and y'all care about."
Now, he's owning up to how he handled the moment, and that takes a big guy.
