The Chicago Cubs could lose two key outfielders in free agency this offseason.
Both Seiya Suzuki and Ian Happ will become free agents after the World Series. Together, they hit 50 home runs and drove in 154 runs in 2026.
Chicago may not be able to re-sign both players, and Suzuki will be the more expensive of the two.
When looking at potential landing spots for both outfielders, Bleacher Report's Joel Reuter tabbed the Toronto Blue Jays as a logical fit.
"With Addison Barger coming off a season where he played just nine games and George Springer headed for free agency and perhaps retirement, a corner outfielder and a designated hitter will both be on the offseason shopping list," Reuter wrote.
Reports indicate that the Blue Jays are interested in Suzuki, who just played the final year of a five-year, $82 million contract with the Cubs.
"This offseason, said a league source who spoke on condition of anonymity in order to discuss offseason plans, the Jays are expected to pursue Chicago Cubs outfielder Seiya Suzuki," The Athletic's Mitch Bannon wrote in September.

Toronto's offense lacked power during a disappointing regular season, finishing 30th in the Majors with 152 homers.
Slugger Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hit just nine long balls, an incredibly low number for a player with his power.
Suzuki certainly has the power to help in the slugging department, hitting 79 homers over the last three seasons (426 games).
