Avery Krumme hasn't wasted any time at her first Winter Olympics.
The 17-year old U.S. skiier will compete Monday in the slopestyle finals.
The competition features athletes skiing down a slope that includes rails and ramps to perform tricks along the way.
They're scored for how clean their routine is, along with how difficult each move is.
Krumme has a chance to make herself even a bigger name if she can contend for a medal.
Her story is already fascinating, though. She switched nationality from Canada to the United States in 2024.

Why did Avery Krumme switch from Canada to U.S.?
There is no major reporting on this, so the best that can exist is speculation.
She grew up in Squamish, British Columbia.
This is what her official U.S. Olympic bio reads:
"In 2024, Krumme made the decision to switch her nationality from Canada to the United States, joining the U.S. Freeski Team's rookie roster for the 2025-26 season. She earned three NorAm Cup podiums during the 2024-25 season, demonstrating her consistency across North American competitions. During her first season representing the United States on the world cup circuit, Krumme made her world cup debut at Stubai, Austria, finishing 20th in slopestyle. She showed steady improvement throughout the season, finishing sixth in slopestyle at the Toyota U.S. Grand Prix in Aspen and fourth in big air at Steamboat Springs, Colorado—the best result among American women at any of the season's selection events."
