Shedeur Sanders wasn't supposed to make it to day two.
Somehow, though, the Colorado quarterback is still on the board. And given he slid all the way through Round 1 with no takers, it's not a given he goes right away in the second round, either.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Friday evening that Sanders has two possible landing spots.
Here's the latest news:
Who will draft Shedeur Sanders?
Sanders has two realistic landing spots, according to Rapoport: the Raiders and the Steelers.
The Raiders pick at No. 37 overall in the second round, five picks into the night.
The Steelers currently aren't back up again until No. 83 overall in the third round, although there are rumors they may be seeking a second-round pick in a trade.

When will Shedeur Sanders be drafted?
We'll have a better idea of this after pick No. 40.
The Browns have 33 and 36, the Raiders have 37 and the Saints have 40.
If none of those teams take Sanders, he could legitimately slide to the Steelers at No. 83 (or an earlier Pittsburgh trade up spot.
It'll be the most-discussed story of the night until Sanders is off the board.
