Browns' Dillon Gabriel sends 2-word message after being drafted ahead of Shedeur Sanders

The 2025 NFL Draft began on Thursday night with the Tennessee Titans selecting Miami (FL) quarterback Cam Ward at No. 1 overall. It was not surprising at all and the tea leaves had read Ward to Tennessee for quite some time.

The New York Giants traded into the first round to select Jaxson Dart in another not-so-surprising move. But, the biggest shock was Shedeur Sanders falling out of the first round, especially with QB-needy teams such as the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns passing on him. Then, Sanders didn't hear his name called in Rounds 2 or 3 on Day 2 of the NFL Draft.

On Friday, Tyler Shough, Jalen Milroe and even Dillon Gabriel heard their names called. Gabriel was the last QB drafted on Friday night and he went to the Browns at No. 94 overall - a team long linked to Sanders.

After the selection, Gabriel took to X with a two-word message: "Ballers Ball," Gabriel wrote with the #DawgPound hashtag.

Gabriel spent six years in college: Three at UCF, two at Oklahoma, and his final one as a Heisman candidate at Oregon. Still, the 24-year-old got selected ahead of Sanders in one of the most shocking turn of events we have seen in a while.

Nonetheless, Gabriel has a chance to make some noise in the always-plagued QB room in Cleveland in a position that has been snakebitten for a long time.

At least he is excited to be in Cleveland.
