The Rams are technically the first team Mevis has played games for, as he didn't get any in-game action with any of the teams that had signed him to their practice squad in the past.
His nickname 'the Thiccer Kicker' is due to his 6-0 height and 245 lb frame.
He played four seasons at Missouri in college, making 89 field goals across 50 career games.
He was featured in nine regular-season games this year with the Rams, going 12/13 on FGA.
Mevis continued to be impactful during the postseason so far for the Rams, going 2/2 on FGA against the Panthers in the Wild Card Round.
He once again went 2/2 on FGA against the Bears on Sunday, with the game-winner as the most notable play.
