Many former FaZe Clan members have announced their departures from the organization in the last few weeks. Some have alleged a lack of control, while some have suggested issues over contract negotiations.
Eric "CLipZ" Rivera, Jeff "House Cat" Emann (now known as "Timid") and Ben "Resistance" Christensen founded FaZe Clan in 2010. The group was initially named FaZe Snipping, as the trio mainly played Call of Duty. However, the organization has grown exponentially since then and has become a major name in the gaming industry.
However, the clan has seen multiple members leave in the last few weeks. The likes of Adapt, Jason, Ronaldo, Lacy, and Silky have all left the organization. Meanwhile, Plaqueboymax has revealed that he departed the clan in August this year.
In multiple videos and posts, Plaquebox has claimed that he left the clan due to a lack of control. He said that the members were allegedly being treated as "puppets". He added:
"I've since leaving worked with bigger guests and brands, and have a 2026 planned that is even bigger than what I've accomplished so far."Meanwhile, Adapt wrote in his X post on December 25:
"14 Years. Over half of my life, I’d be lying if I said this didn’t hurt, but it had to be done. Thank you to everyone who’s been apart of this journey, the best is yet to come."Left @FaZeClan 14 Years. Over half of my life, I’d be lying if I said this didn’t hurt, but it had to be done. Thank you to everyone who’s been apart of this journey, the best is yet to come.
Notably, all these exits come after FaZe Banks stepped down as the company's CEO in July this year.

ComplexCon 2024 (Image Source: Getty)In an X post on Christmas, FaZe Banks claimed that he had nothing to do with the mass exits from the organization. He wished everyone the best but said that he had left four months ago.
However, Plaqueboymax brought up this post on his YouTube and played a laugh track. Banks reacted to this with a video post on X, saying:
“I just watched some clips from this PlaqueBoyMax stream where he’s playing a laugh track over my tweet and it’s like, Max, I know we’ve had our individual differences, and I know I really haven’t seen eye-to-eye with a lot of the talent. Because truthfully and honestly, I find you guys all to be incredibly ungrateful. “I find you guys all to have insane egos, and I think it’s disgusting and makes me sick to my stomach that your guys’ relationships with each other, with every other streamer, and your community, included, is so incredibly fake. You guys are the best actors on planet earth, and you’ve made a complete career out of all of it,” he added. Also Read: Plaqueboymax reveals why Lacy got kicked from FaZe Clan in early 2025
In another post, he wrote down the amenities FaZe clan allegedly provided to their creators.
These guys had: - Free housing - Free filmers & staff - All FaZe channels - Zero % income shared Their money and platforms all sky-rocketed after meeting me, but I’m the bad guy? None of it makes sense, and like I said above I’m going to get into all the details tomorrow.
Banks also slammed Plaqueboymax for the latter's supporters attacking him after his comments. He added that he is being scapegoated in this situation.
Meanwhile, FaZe Clan's X handle also posted a message for the departing members on Saturday, December 27. They labeled it "emotional" and "beyond tragic, the way it all ended".
