Four years after splitting up with Pique, the Colombian singer and performer has a new love interest.

Who is Shakira's boyfriend?

Shakira is dating British actor Lucien Laviscount. The singer confirmed her relationship in early 2026, but the two were first linked in 2024 when Laviscount starred in her music video for single "Punteria."

Shortly after, Shakira and Laviscount were spotted eating dinner together in New York City. They later appeared on each other's social media accounts, but it wasn't until February 2026 that Shakira took the relationship public.

Laviscount got his start as a TV actor in the 2000s, making brief appearances in a handful of notable shows before taking on a prominent role in Netflix series "Emily in Paris." Laviscount has also appeared in a number of films, including nine different roles since 2021.

What has Lucien Laviscount been in?

Laviscount made brief appearances in a number of TV shows after launching his acting career in the mid-2000s, including "Shameless" and "Supernatural," before landing a regular role in short-lived Fox series "Scream Queens" in 2015.

Laviscount's breakout role came as Alfie in "Emily in Paris," which has become one of Netflix's most popular original shows and is headed for a sixth and final season. The role, as well as the show's success, made Laviscount more of a household name, and his relationship with Shakira has only boosted his profile.

On the big screen, Laviscount has landed nine different roles since 2021, including a starring role in 2025 American thriller "Safe House."

How did Shakira and Lucien Laviscount meet?

Shakira first met Laviscount on the set of her music video for "Punteria" in 2024, according to Us Weekly. Laviscount starred in the music video, and he evidently played the part so well that the romance turned into reality.

Shakira's relationship with Pique also began on the set of a music video, as she met the soccer star while filming a promotional video for 2010 World Cup anthem "Waka Waka."

Shakira is 15 years older than Laviscount. The Colombian musician turned 49 in February, while Laviscount just turned 34 on June 9.

Shakira had a decade-long relationship with Antonio de la Rua, whose father Fernando served as president of Argentina from 1999-2001. Gerard Pique (2011-22)

After splitting with de la Rua, Shakira started an 11-year relationship with Spanish soccer star Gerard Pique. The two met on the set of Shakira's music video for 2010 World Cup song "Waka Waka" and started dating either in late 2010 or early 2011. While they were never married, Shakira and Pique have two children together.

The pair announced their split in 2022, with Shakira saying later that her responsibilities as a mother helped her carry on and keep perspective after the pain of a public breakup.

Shakira didn't confirm her relationship with Laviscount until 2026, but they were first spotted spending time alone together in 2024 after the British actor starred in one of her music videos.
