“She’s a huge fan of the Knicks and really wants to be there to support them,” an insider told us.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, who is a native of Ohio, addressed the frenzy, insisting that he wasn’t “trying to persuade Taylor into being a Cleveland sports fan” with him.

“This was me just having a fun date night knowing that I love going to basketball games,” he said on his “New Heights” podcast.

“We actually tried to go to a game in New York but I was stuck in Kansas City. I love bringing her into the sports world that I appreciate.”

Kelce, 36, admitted it was difficult to witness the Cavaliers lose but shared he would “be rooting” for the Knicks “from here on out.”

Swift has attended several games for the NYC-based team since she purchased a sprawling $50 million compound in Tribeca in 2014.

The “Cruel Summer” singer’s most notable appearances at Knicks games were with Karlie Kloss, Justin Long and Amanda Seyfried in 2014. She also attended a match with Jimmy Fallon the following year.

Swift’s recent appearance at Madison Square Garden comes as she and Kelce prepare to tie the knot at the iconic venue during the July 3 weekend.

“If you have billions, you can transform the space,” one insider told Page Six.

According to TMZ, the venue costs $1 million per day, and the duo is reportedly renting it out for three days.

Swift and Kelce started dating in 2023, and the athlete popped the question last August.
