Size has been one of the keys to the Michigan Wolverines' success in 2025-26.
In a season where Dusty May's squad won the Big Ten regular-season title, reached the Big Ten Tournament, and has made a deep run through March Madness, all three of the Wolverines' leading scorers are listed over 6-foot-8.
Forwards Yaxel Lendeborg and Morez Johnson Jr. are the focal points, but fans will certainly notice another lengthy Wolverine: May's starting center, Aday Mara.
Here's what to know about Mara, his height and more.

Who is number 15 on Michigan?
Center Aday Mara wears No. 15 for the Wolverines, standing at 7-foot-3 as one of the tallest players across college basketball in 2025-26.
Mara, who transferred to Michigan from UCLA for the 2025-26 season, is from Spain — and both of his parents were known for their athletic size. Francisco Javier Mara played professional basketball in Spain, while Angélica "Geli" Gómez was on Spain's national women's volleyball squad.
After playing in more limited fashion at UCLA over his first two college seasons, Mara has become a dominant force for Michigan this season.
