Who is in Super Bowl 2026? Here are the teams, odds & spread for Super Bowl 60 matchup

1 hour ago 3

Just two teams are alive for the 2026 Lombardi Trophy — and we're getting a long-awaited Super Bowl rematch.

The matchup for Super Bowl 60 in Santa Clara is set, as Sunday's conference championships resulted in the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks advancing to the big game, the same teams as Super Bowl XLIX in February 2015.

Drake Maye and the Patriots, who have slayed some ferocious defenses in the AFC bracket, advanced to the Super Bowl by beating the Denver Broncos 10-7 in a snowy matchup at Mile High on Sunday. Just one year after its second-consecutive 4-13 season, New England is heading back to the Super Bowl for the first time in its post-Belichick-Brady era.

While the Patriots seek to add a new chapter to their historic championship legacy, they'll face another of the league's best defenses with the Seahawks. Seattle held on to beat the Rams in the NFC Championship Game, with Sam Darnold still rolling in his first season with the team and Mike Macdonald's defense consistently coming up with big plays.

With the matchup set, here's what you need to know about Super Bowl 60.

  • New England Patriots vs. Seattle Seahawks

Super Bowl 60 will be a rematch of Super Bowl XLIX; the Patriots will take on the Seahawks.

The two teams also met in Super Bowl XLIX, when New England narrowly escaped, 28-24, thanks to Malcolm Butler's game-sealing interception on the goal line. Seattle's decision to not run the ball in for a potential touchdown with Marshawn Lynch went down in NFL history.

Now, the Seahawks will have a chance for some long-awaited get-back against New England.

How many times have the Patriots been to the Super Bowl?

Super Bowl 60 will be the Patriots' 12th appearance in the big game all-time. That is the most of any NFL franchise, four ahead of the Cowboys, Steelers, Broncos and 49ers.

New England has gone 6-5 all-time in the Super Bowl — those six wins are tied with Pittsburgh for the most in league history. If the Patriots win Super Bowl 60, they'll stand alone with the most Super Bowl victories.

The Patriots' last Super Bowl appearance came after the 2018 regular season, taking on the Rams in February 2019. Still led by Bill Belichick and Tom Brady, New England used a defensive showcase to take down L.A., 13-3.

How many times have the Seahawks been to the Super Bowl?

This will be the Seahawks' fourth trip to the Super Bowl in franchise history. In the first three, they've gone 1-2, with their lone title coming in 2014 with a blowout win over the Broncos.

Most recently, Seattle lost to New England in the 2015 Super Bowl when Pete Carroll, Russell Wilson and company were attempting to go back-to-back. Instead, the Seahawks were stunned after having a chance to take a late lead.

Since then, the Seahawks haven't returned to the big game. They'll now be seeking their second Super Bowl title.
