Which Michigan Wolverine was featured on the Big Board for the 2026 NFL Draft?

Compared to their national championship-winning season in 2023, the Michigan Wolverines' 2024 season was a pretty big letdown.

But after the departure of players such as J.J. McCarthy and Blake Corum in the NFL Draft and head coach Jim Harbaugh heading over to coach the Los Angeles Chargers, some fall off should very well be predicted.

However, despite the step backwards from the team, one player is still stockpiled with draft stock heading into the 2026 NFL Draft.

Senior defensive end Derrick Moore cracked the Pro Football Focus' Top 51 Big Board for the 2026 draft, the lone Wolverine on the board.

Moore was able to keep with his consistent level of play that was evident on the 2023 national championship team, with 23 combined tackles, six of those going for loss of yardage, and also racked up four sacks and recovered a fumble during the year.

The Wolverines finished 8-5 in Sherrone Moore's first year as head coach, with a 5-4 record against Big 10 opponents, which included a fourth-consecutive win over the reigning national champion Ohio State Buckeyes in a low-scoring 13-10 affair to finish out the regular season.

The maize and blue were able to end their season on an even higher note after the big win over the Buckeyes, defeating Kalen DeBoer and the Alabama Crimson Tide, 19-13, in the ReliaQuest Bowl, giving the team their first non-playoff bowl game win since the 2015 season, which saw a 41-7 pounding of the Florida Gators.
