Where Winds Meet walkthrough: How to complete Ballads and Pawprints quest

Ballads and Pawprints is an Encounter quest that you can find in Kaifeng City in Where Winds Meet. During the quest, you meet an NPC whose dog goes missing, and you must help him find it. While the mission itself is pretty simple, there's a trick to triggering it. Upon completing this, you'll get several in-game rewards, such as Echo Jades and Bard of the Forsaken Quarter.

How to start the Ballads and Pawprints quest

Go to the Ash Pit in Kaifeng City and adjust the in-game time to Shen hour to find an NPC named Old Jun and a pup sitting outside the Ash Pit. Interact with Jun and tip him some coins. You have to tip him three times on three separate in-game days to unlock the Ballads and Pawprints Encounter quest in Where Winds Meet.

If the quest doesn't trigger, teleport to another location and return to the Ash Pit during the Shen hour to tip Old Jun again. Once you've started the quest, the NPC will ask you to revisit him after one day. You can advance the in-game time to the next day and interact with him.

Head to Unbound Cavern's hideout and investigate the large pot

Go to Unbound Cavern's hideout and hide behind the rack to eavesdrop on them before defeating them. Once that is done, interact with the large pot to check the ingredients.

Follow the quest marker to the next location to find a couple of NPCs talking next to a cage. Hide behind the haystack and eavesdrop on them.

Speak with the beggars before checking inside the cage to find a kitten. Next, return to Old Jun and tell him everything.

Search for the herb at the Unbound Cavern's hideout and return to Granny Ren's home

Go to the Unbound Cavern's hideout to find the herb bag on the table before returning to Granny Ren's place to heal the dog.

Return to the Ash Pit at the Wei Hour tomorrow

Advance the in-game time to the Wei Hour the next day and meet Old Jun at the Ash Pit. Speak with him to complete the Ballads and Pawprints quest in Where Winds Meet.
