The United States men's hockey team went undefeated in the preliminary round of the 2026 Olympics, and the team is taking that 3-0-0 record into the knockout stage.
After getting a bye in the qualifications playoffs, the United States is the No. 2 seed in the quarterfinals, trailing just Canada in the standings. While Team USA has its eyes set on the gold medal games, it must go through the quarterfinals and semifinals to get there.
First up for the United States is Sweden, which made it to the quarterfinals after beating Latvia 5-1 on Tuesday. The United States will have an advantage in the game, as the team had three days off while Sweden/Latvia played on Tuesday.
