The college women's volleyball season is continuing full steam ahead with the Players Era Showcase this weekend, featuring a matchup between Nebraska and UNLV.
No. 1-ranked Nebraska is heading to Sin City with momentum after claiming the inaugural Spikes Under the Lights championship at AT&T Stadium. The Huskers looked as strong as ever, sweeping both No. 17 Florida and No. 11 SMU in two sets. If Thursday was any indicator, the Big Red are out for blood this season.
UNLV will get to act as somewhat of a host team for this preseason mini-tournament, traveling just a couple miles away to play on the Las Vegas Strip. The Rebels won their first scrimmage against Utah Tech 3-2, but have since dropped an exhibition match against Colorado State.
