Either Michigan or Penn State will emerge with their first conference win of the season as they meet at the Big House on Saturday.
The Nittany Lions (3-3, 0-3 Big Ten) kept pace with USC for much of last week's game before the Trojans pulled away in the fourth quarter for a 31-23 win. Quarterback Rocco Becht threw for 289 yards and a touchdown, but a late turnover helped seal Penn State's third consecutive conference loss.
Michigan (3-2, 0-2) enters the matchup coming off a 20-14 loss to Minnesota. The Wolverines took a 14-7 lead into halftime fueled by a pair of interceptions, including Nathaniel Staehling’s pick-six that turned into a 79-yard return for a touchdown. However, Michigan’s offense stalled after halftime and Minnesota rallied with 13 unanswered points to secure the win.
