Janik Sinner continued his bid to win his first Italian Open in front of his home crowd by qualifying for the quarterfinals.

It was a third consecutive straight-set victory for the Sinner who defeated Francisco Cerundolo 7-6, 6-3 in the Round of 16 to make it to the next stage. Despite returning from a three-month doping ban, the Italian doesn't seem to have lost a step.

Carlos Alcaraz has also made a strong recovery from injury, which saw him miss out on the Madrid Open. He overcame Karen Khachanov in a closely contested Round of 16 tie to set up a quarterfinal clash with Jack Draper.

Defending champion Alexander Zverev also qualified for the quarterfinals with a 7-6, 6-1 victory over Arthur Fils and will face Lorenzo Musetti.

The Sporting News is on hand to bring you all you need to know to ensure you don't miss a minute of the action.
