Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal brought down the curtain on the 2025/26 European club football season in Saturday's Champions League final.
Budapest's 67,215 capacity Puskas Arena was a fitting venue for such a titanic clash.
The two finalists emerged from the recently expanded 36-team bracket. The road to the final is longer than it used to be.

Where is next year's Champions League final?
The 2027 Champions League final will take place at the Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid.
Atletico Madrid's home arena holds 70,692 spectators.
It will be the second time the stadium, which opened in 2017, has hosted the Champions League final.
Liverpool beat Premier League counterparts Tottenham at the Metropolitano in 2019 to lift their sixth European title.
When is the 2027 Champions League final?
The 2027 Champions League final will take place on Saturday, June 5.
The game will kick off at 6 p.m. Central European Standard Time (12 p.m. ET).

Where are the next Champions League finals?
UEFA normally selects final venues in blocks of two to three years.
The decision for the 2027 Champions League final was delayed, with UEFA waiting for information from local authorities over refurbishment plans for the San Siro stadium in Milan. The governing body decided in 2024 to reopen the bidding process to avoid complications around the San Siro redevelopment, and the Metropolitano got the nod.
UEFA will decide the hosts of the 2028 and 2029 finals in September this year. The 2028 showpiece looks likely to head back to the Allianz Arena after Munich was the only prospective venue to express interest.
"The declarations of interest are not binding, and the final proposals must be delivered with the bid dossiers by June 10," UEFA said in a statement.
London's Wembley Stadium and Barcelona's renovated Camp Nou are in the running for the 2029 game.
