The Fever took on the Sky Saturday, June 7, but they were missing a key piece of the squad. Yes, Indiana was down star guard Caitlin Clark for the matchup, but she wasn't the only one.
The Fever were without head coach Stephanie White, who is in her first season in that role with the team. White played for Indiana from 2000-2004 before she got into coaching. She was with the Sun for the last two years but was hired to lead Clark and the Fever after the organization decided to fire Christie Sides following a 20-20 regular season and first round playoff exit.
Here is why White didn't coach the Fever against the Sky.

Where is Fever coach Stephanie White?
It wasn't a surprise that White was missing in action on Saturday. It was made public that she was missing the game due to "personal reasons" after she did not attend practice on Friday. Assistant coach Austin Kelly took over as acting head coach. When asked about her absence, all Kelly would give in a pre-game press conference was that the team "have her [White] in our thoughts."
Fever acting head coach Austin Kelly said after tonight’s game, the team will “evaluate and see” the timeline of Caitlin Clark’s return.
He said the same about head coach Stephanie White, who is out for personal reasons: “We have her in our thoughts.”
The door had been left open for her to potentially coach in the game, but the initial news was that she would not be traveling with the team.
