Commentator Arun Lal hilariously forgot to call Team India captains MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli to hand over the trophy after the side's tri-series victory against Sri Lanka and hosts West Indies. The Men in Blue eked out a one-wicket win over Sri Lanka in the final at the Queen's Park Oval, Port of Spain, Trinidad, on July 11, 2013.

Lal almost concluded the presentation ceremony after an interview with Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who was adjudged the Player of the Series. He said after the Player of the Series award:

"So, that was the big one, ladies and gentlemen. That was the Men of the Series award for Bhuvneshwar Kumar. And now, it's just upon me to thank all the dignitaries here who have helped us with the presentation, and a big thank you to the crowd here in Trinidad. We have loved you all. We have had a great time."

However, he quickly realized, or was probably reminded by the producer through the earpiece, that he had forgotten to call the Indian captain to collect the trophy. Here's how he reacted after the goof-up:

"Oh, I beg your pardon, the most important thing of all is the trophy. Let's have MS Dhoni here."

Here's a video of the incident:

It is worth mentioning that Dhoni suffered a hamstring injury in India's one-wicket defeat to the West Indies in their opening game of the tri-series. Vice-captain Kohli led the side in the remaining matches before Dhoni returned for the final.

MS Dhoni's heroics helped India edge past Sri Lanka in the last-over thriller

MS Dhoni won the toss and elected to field first in the tri-series final. Sri Lanka were bowled out for 201. Kumar Sangakkara was the top performer with the bat, scoring 71 runs off 100 balls.

Lahiru Thirimanne also contributed 46 runs from 72 deliveries. Ravindra Jadeja shone with the ball for India, bagging a four-wicket haul. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ishant Sharma, and Ravichandran Ashwin took two scalps apiece.

Opener Rohit Sharma hit a crucial half-century in the chase, top-scoring with 58 runs off 89 balls. However, MS Dhoni and Co. found themselves in a spot of bother by losing wickets at regular intervals in the middle overs.

Dhoni showed tremendous composure under pressure, stitching together important partnerships with the lower-order batters and tailenders. India required 15 runs from the last over with just one wicket in hand.

Shaminda Eranga started the all-important final over with a dot ball to Dhoni. However, the swashbuckling batter sealed the game for his side by smashing two sixes and one four.

Dhoni remained unbeaten on 45 off 52 balls and was named the Player of the Match for his stunning batting exploits. He also inflicted three stumpings in the summit clash.
