Spain will hope to build on their Euro 2024 triumph and become champions of the world for the second time in 2026.
Luis de la Fuente's team head into the 2026 World Cup as the second-highest-ranked national team and many people's favourites to lift the trophy.
However, injury concerns have begun to pile up at an awkward time. Lamine Yamal is in a race against time to be fit for the group stage, while fellow attacking star Nico Williams sustained a fresh problem during an Athletic Club match.
It all means that De La Fuente may have some tough calls to make when he puts together his roster for the tournament.
Here, we look at the key details regarding Spain's squad announcement and where those players will be based in North America during the group stage.

Can Spain replace players in their World Cup roster?
Teams are allowed to make a change to their squad due to injury or illness up to 24 hours before their first scheduled game of the tournament. Medical proof of the reason behind the withdrawal must be sent to FIFA for approval.
Spain play their opening Group H game against Saudi Arabia on June 21 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, meaning any replacements would have to be arranged by June 20. After that, the squad is set for the tournament.
The one exception concerns goalkeepers: if any of the three are injured or ill and has to withdraw, they can be replaced by another keeper from the provisional list at any stage of the competition (again, subject to FIFA ratifying the change).

Where is Spain's World Cup hotel and training camp?
Spain will be based in Chattanooga, Tenessee during the World Cup.
The team chose the Embassy Suites by Hilton in the city's downtown area as their hotel, while training sessions will be held at Baylor School, a 133-year-old private institution close to Lookout Mountain. The RFEF said of the facilities, where Auckland City were based during last year's Club World Cup: "Renowned as one of the top high-performance sports centres in the United States, the complex is fully equipped to meet the demands of the reigning European champions and current FIFA world number one [as they were at the time]."
