The absence of New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson will stretch into another week.
After missing the previous two games due to a toe injury, Stevenson is locked into missing his third consecutive contest after he was ruled out for the Week 11 game against the New York Jets.
With Stevenson sidelined once again, rookie TreVeyon Henderson is expected to take the reins of the backfield, with second-year back Terrell Jennings, who is questionable but expected to play, filling in behind him.
Now that Stevenson's Week 11 status is settled, we'll take a look ahead to Week 12 to see if Stevenson might return. Here's what we know.
When is Rhamondre Stevenson coming back?
We don't have a definitive answer to this question at the moment, but we can make an educated guess that he's got a good shot to return in Week 12.
We base that off of the fact that Stevenson logged two limited practices this week, which amounts to an upgrade after he didn't practice at all over the last two weeks.
Another thing working in Stevenson's favor is the Patriots have a mini-bye before their Week 12 contest against the Cincinnati Bengals, so that gives him even more time to get right before next Sunday's game.
We would also point out that the Patriots never placed Stevenson on injured reserve, which means they don't expect him to miss more than three games. Stevenson is missing his third game in Week 11.
Long story short: all signs point to Stevenson making his way back in Week 12.
