Pamela Anderson appeared in a conversation with Andy Cohen, with clips uploaded to YouTube recently. In one such clip posted on August 4, Pamela shared her reaction upon discovering Beyonce's cosplay as her character. For those unaware, the singer cosplayed as characters from some of Pamela Anderson's films.
In November 2024, Beyonce released a music video called Beywatch on YouTube for Election Day. In the video, she wore a version of Pamela's Baywatch swimsuit and the corset costume from Barb Wire. During her chat with Andy Cohen, Pamela was asked if Beyonce contacted her after last year's cosplays. To this, the actress replied:
"I didn't even know she knew who I was. And then I saw that tribute that someone sent it to me. I was just, wow, Beyonce knows who I am, and she's a good impression."Cohen further gave a shoutout to Britney Spears, stating that she, too, gave a tribute to Anderson last year, to which the actress responded by saying, "That's nice." As for now, the Beywatch music video has garnered more than a million views and over 80K likes. In the video, the singer urged all her fans to cast their votes in the presidential election.
Apart from the iconic swimsuit look, Beyonce also recreated the outfit that Pamela Anderson wore at the 1999 Video Music Awards. The outfit included a huge pink fluffy hat designed by Ivy Supersonic, along with a white corset. The Barb Wire-inspired outfit that Beyonce recreated included a black strapless catsuit, patent knee-high stiletto boots, black gloves, and a long blonde wig.
At the time when Beyonce uploaded the video, fans expressed excitement and seemingly really liked it as well. Many were excited since it had been a long time since the singer appeared in a music video.
Pamela Anderson had previously talked about her reaction upon finding out about Beyonce's cosplays last year

This was not the first time that Pamela Anderson opened up about the cosplays by Beyonce in November of last year. In April 2025, the actress told InStyle that she felt amazing when celebrities like Beyonce and Millie Bobby Brown recreated her iconic looks. She even added that looking at these tributes often gave her "a little bit of confidence."
She further told the outlet:
"When I was wearing these clothes, they weren't fashionable. And they weren't making headlines, unless they were being made fun of."Prior to this interview, in November 2024, Pamela spoke to Variety and revealed that she had no idea that Beyonce was going to recreate her iconic looks from the aforementioned movies as well as the award show. Pamela Anderson even added that she became aware of it at the same time as other people did.
Pamela Anderson had "no idea" Beyoncé was going to pay tribute to her in her “Beywatch” video.“I saw it at the same time everybody else did," Anderson says. "To have created memorable characters full of heart and vulnerability and love...I like to see those, when those things come up...because you think in the moment, they weren't really celebrated. But now looking back, they're still on people’s minds."
In the interview with Variety, Pamela said that when she wore the outfits, they were not celebrated. She said:
"To have created memorable characters full of heart and vulnerability and love… I like to see those, when those things come up. Because you think in the in the moment, they weren’t really celebrated. But now looking back, they’re still on people’s minds."According to reports by People dated November 5, Pamela Anderson had also initially shared the photos of Beyonce cosplaying her on her Instagram stories. She even commented "LOVE 🤍" on a post by the singer that included content related to the homage. As previously mentioned, Beyonce wasn't the only one who gave a tribute to Anderson.
On February 27, Millie Bobby Brown tagged Pamela Anderson on an Instagram post and shared some of her photos in a dress that was previously worn by Anderson in 2005. Then, in March, during an episode of Call Her Daddy podcast, Millie revealed that the jeans she was wearing belonged to Anderson.
Beyonce has given such tributes to many stars in the past
While Pamela Anderson had received many such tributes from celebrities, Beyonce had done such gestures for many celebrities. In 2018, during Halloween, she opted to recreate the look of fellow artist Toni Braxton. She recreated the look of Braxton's cover for her debut album, Toni Braxton. Under the post, Beyonce even wrote:
"Sending love and adoration to one of our talented legends. Thank you for the countless bops. Your tone, your beauty, your range, and your God-given talent is treasured. Loving you always."Phoni Braxton!? NEVER!!!How do you look better than me on MY album cover? I LOVE IT, Such a superstar! Thanks for the love sis! Happy Halloween 🎃 Who run the world...GIRLS! GIRLS! 💃🏽💃🏼@Beyonce
The posts even made Toni react on social media. She took to X, formerly known as Twitter, and complimented Beyonce by saying that her recreated photos looked better than the original cover.
For 2014 Halloween, Blue Ivy and Beyonce recreated the looks of Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson, respectively, according to E! News.
As of now, Beyonce hasn't reacted to Pamela Anderson's comments.
