Seahawks troll Raiders rookie Ashton Jeanty after brutal debut

2 hours ago 3

Las Vegas Raiders rookie running back Ashton Jeanty made his NFL preseason debut versus the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday, and it didn't go to plan.

Jeanty struggled to find any room to run and finished the day with -1 rushing yards on three carries. The Boise State product did play just two series, but was a non-factor.

Speaking of Boise State, one of Jeanty's former teammates in college, George Holani, saw some action with the Seahawks on Thursday and immediately made an impact. The 25-year-old scored a 24-yard touchdown at the end of the first quarter and tallied nearly 70 yards in the first half.

With Jeanty posting a disappointing debut and Holani putting on a show, the Seahawks X account decided to troll the Raiders rookie.

Seattle's X account stated that Holani is the best running back to come out of Boise State, clearly poking fun at Jeanty.

"Some people are saying George Holani is the best RB out of Boise State," the Seahawks X account said.

Obviously, Jeanty is the better Boise State running back than Holani, as the 21-year-old was a Heisman candidate and posted over 2,000 rushing yards during his senior season in 2024.

Holani tallied two 1,000-yard campaigns during his five-year college career and went undrafted in the 2024 NFL Draft. He played five games during his rookie year with Seattle.

The Seahawks have the right to troll Jeanty and the Raiders, as Mike Macdonald's squad is dominating in the preseason opener, and Holani did perform better than Jeanty. However, we all know who will be the better player moving forward.
