Team USA has done it again.
On Sunday at Berlin Arena, the Americans rallied from a 14-point deficit to top France in the gold medal game at the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup.
Though Angel Reese played only nine minutes of the 97-79 victory, she got in Germany what she came to get: a gold medal, to cap what was a productive tournament overall for the Atlanta Dream star.

At her first competitive tournament with Team USA, Reese -- part of the "Young and Turnt" contingent that figures to dominate the national team for the next decade -- boasted the team's highest field goal percentage (59.3 percent) and the highest block rate (0.8 per game).
Reese also tied Napheesa Collier for second in rebounding, as she hauled in five boards per game. Only Dream teammate Rhyne Howard grabbed more steals per game than Reese, at 1.2 per.

Her impact is most felt on the glass, and in her activity level on defense. And it's worth noting that Reese achieved that scoring average in only around 15 minutes per game.
In that respect, Reese will be a part of the national team for a long time. She has the size and strength to bully smaller players around the rim, and the interior scoring touch will add complementary production around players like Paige Bueckers and Caitlin Clark on future teams.
