Based on Andrzej Sapkowski's literary works, The Witcher season 4 continues the story of Geralt of Rivia, Yennefer, and Ciri, after their long and adventurous journey together leads them to unexpected turns. Lauren Schmidt Hissrich is the creator and showrunner of the series.

The official synopsis of the series reads as follows:

"After the shocking, Continent-altering events that close out season three, the new season follows Geralt, Yennefer and Ciri, who are faced with traversing the war-ravaged Continent and its many demons apart from each other. If they can embrace and lead the groups of misfits they find themselves in, they have a chance of surviving the baptism of fire — and finding one another again."

Liam Hemsworth takes the role of Geralt in season 4, which was played by Henry Cavill in the previous seasons. Freya Allan appears as Ciri, and Anya Chalotra plays Yennefer in the fourth season. Other characters in the season include Joey Batey as Jaskier, Eamon Farren as Cahir, Mahesh Jadu as Vilgefortz, Anna Shaffer as Triss, and more.
