More than a month has passed since Dan Fogelman’s hit original series aired its Season 1 finale on Hulu. But Disney is giving the Sterling K. Brown-led political thriller a linear launch on ABC, which means it’s the perfect time for non-Hulu/Disney+ subscribers to catch up and see what the hype is all about.
Paradise follows Secret Service agent Xavier Collins (Sterling K. Brown), who becomes the prime suspect in President Cal Bradford’s (James Marsden) murder in Episode 1. As Xavier sets out to prove his innocence, identify the real killer, and recover stolen government intel, he uncovers a slew of secrets that make him reexamine his own reality and seek out potentially terrifying and lifechanging truths.

On February 20, ahead of the show’s Season 1 finale, Hulu renewed Paradise for Season 2, with Fogelman revealing he has a three-season arc for the series already planned out.
“I have a plan for three seasons of the show. Without giving away too much, each season of the show is a slightly different show, within the same show with the same characters,” Fogelman told The Hollywood Reporter. “…As we go into second season, we pivot a little bit, but in a way that I think is very follow-able. But yes, there’s big moves ahead.”
Since publishing our original Season 2 piece, four names have been added to the sophomore season cast: Shailene Woodley, Thomas Doherty, Michael McGrady, and Timothy Omundson.
