Bryce James, the youngest son of NBA star LeBron James, made the decision to redshirt his freshman year at Arizona. While the decision was a forgone conclusion given the fact he hasn't seen the court this season, this puts an extended timeline on the prospect of another son of James in the league.
The Wildcats and coach Tommy Lloyd will keep the 6-foot-5 guard on the bench, which means it's unlikely LeBron will be in the league the same time as Bryce.
The NBA great, future Hall-of-Famer, and international superstar is currently in his record 23rd season in the league. The redshirt decision would put James into rare territory with an NBA career spanning a quarter-century to be playing at the same time as Bryce. Maybe that's the end goal here. However, it's tough to say.
Bronny James has floated back and forth between the G League and the Los Angeles Lakers as he tries to ease his way into the league. Bryce could take a similar route, but the idea of him playing with his father and older brother on the same NBA team is insane. Stranger things have happened.

As for Bryce James' current team, Arizona is in the midst of the Big 12 Tournament in Kansas City. He'll be soaking in the experience from the bench and evaluating his next move. The Wildcats also picked up another blue-chip recruit this week with Caleb Holt coming to Tucson later this year.
Could the five-star guard force James to hit the transfer portal? Time will tell what happens next.
