The Washington Commanders know they have their long-term quarterback. Now they just need all his long-term pass catchers.
Terry McLaurin is likely one of those, but the Commanders want more. They're looking at the 2026 NFL Draft class to potentially find another.
The guy they're taking the closest look at currently is USC's Makai Lemon. NFL Draft reporter Ryan Fowler writes that the Commanders are hosting Lemon on a visit.
"One of the premier pass-catchers in the class is expected to meet with new OC David Blough & WRs coach Bobby Engram, among others," Fowler writes.

Lemon spent all three of his college seasons with the Trojans.
He hardly played as a freshman, with just six catches for 88 yards.
He had a great 2024 season as a sophomore, catching 52 passes for 764 yards and three touchdowns.
That set up a superstar-level 2025 season: 79 catches, 1,156 yards and 11 touchdowns.
He would fit in nicely in the Washington system alongside McLaurin and catching passes from Daniels.
The Commanders have been linked to adding Brandon Aiyuk this offseason, but he'd come with risk as a long-term investment.
Lemon seems like a guy who could stick around for the long run in the nation's capital.
