On December 28, BTS’ official Instagram account uploaded a black-and-white photo of Kim Taehyung to their Story. Through this, according to X users, they hints at his upcoming photobook, titled V Type 非. The symbol 非 is pronounced "bi," which matches the V in Hanja. Therefore, the title reflects his stage identity. Meanwhile, in his recent Vogue Japan cover interview, Taehyung discussed the divide between Kim Taehyung and V.
“Because it’s been a while [since I performed], being ‘V’ still feels unfamiliar. I miss performing as V. I want us to release the new album soon so I can stand on stage in front of ARMY again," the K-pop idol said.Notably, his connection to Hanja is personal. His grandfather taught him the Chinese characters during his childhood. As a result, classical scripts hold deep meaning for him. Fans noticed that historically, Koreans verified identity using stamped seals. These seals often featured Hanja symbols. Similarly, a seal appears on the right side of the TYPE 非 teaser image as well.
#Taehyung's new photobook is called V Type 非! 非 is pronounced “bi”, or “V” in Hanja, referencing Taehyung’s stage name. In his recent Vogue Japan cover story, V talks about Kim Taehyung vs V *Hanja (漢字), referring to the traditional Chinese characters used in the Korean language. Taehyung's grandfather taught him Hanja when he was young, and V supposedly has a personal connection to classical characters. Historically, Koreans authenticated documents and signed their names using stamped seals, often incorporating Hanja symbols to represent identity. There is such a stamped seal on the right side of the teaser of TYPE 非....👏🔥👑💜 V IS COMING TAEHYUNG IS COMING TYPE BY V IS COMING #TYPE_非
This project follows his previous photobook released last year. That book focused on rest and stillness, showing V during real pauses from work. Consequently, the photobook stretched across 224 pages, even sharing personal moments with ARMY. Each chapter explored different sides of V and Kim Taehyung. Along with the book, collectibles were included, which featured a bookmark.
They also offered postcards and photo stickers. Previously, the project was titled TYPE 1. Fans now draw clear contrasts. According to them, TYPE 1 felt soft and dreamy. In contrast, 非 suggests opposition or the undefined. Many read it as refusing labels. Thus, TYPE 非 signals defiance in tone.
非 is Chinese ( Fei) but in Korean Hanja 非 is pronounced as 비 (bi) aka V 非 can also mean Not proper, incorrect, opposing, uncategorized, extraordinary. So Taehyung technically did a wordplay with his name but also gave an insight about the concept all with just one character 非
Pre-orders for V Type 非 begin December 31, 2025, at 11 am KST as fans keep theorising the meaning behind V's project.
Apparently 非 means "be not", "wrongdoing", "to blame" or something opposite.....Is taehyung trying to say something like "are you calling me a sinner?" Idk😭
the way i understand it, by using 非 next to “type,” it feels like taehyung is pointing to not conforming, choosing to exist outside labels and the judgments that come with them.

Many fans believe Taehyung’s December 5 post from last year, captioned ‘27 V2 非,’ was a hidden spoiler. Looking back, ‘27’ can be read as December 27, and ‘V2’ as V Type 2.0. Fans continue to praise the Winter Bear singer for his diverse and creative approach.
type 1 was him showing his life as kim taehyung who is free spirited, curious and now with type 非 he is showing his V persona?!! i love when taehyung doesn't reveal much and gives us the freedom to interpret as much as we can.. that's how art should be
genuinely in awe of how vast and beautiful his mind is,so structured, so philosophical, so deeply self-assured. like it isn’t a progression of concepts at all, but a progression of autonomy, and that’s what makes this entire project feel so powerful.
Badboy taehyung!? Is it the concept? I don't think it will be an album bcz the group comeback is not so far, so it's kinda hard but still he is taehyung, anything unpredictable can happen
Indian ARMY in frenzy after Taehyung hints at BTS tour
Indian BTS fans are buzzing after Kim Taehyung sparked fresh tour chatter during a Weverse Live. During the December 27 session, he hinted at meeting the Indian ARMY next year. Because of that line, listeners quickly assumed India may join the 2026 world tour. However, no confirmed dates or locations have surfaced yet. Still, the wording felt deliberate rather than casual to many followers.
As a result, fan circles exploded across social platforms. Soon after, hashtags like #BTSinIndia and #DesiArmyWeDidIt began circulating widely. For years, Indian ARMYs have campaigned for a local concert. Therefore, the moment felt long overdue. Meanwhile, the timing closely matches BTS gearing up for a full group return. The septet is expected to reunite publicly in March 2026 after all seven members wrapped up military duties by June 2025.
Since then, new album work has been officially confirmed. In addition, industry talk strongly points toward a massive global tour. It would be their first full world run since 2019. Moreover, India now seems a realistic possibility. HYBE has expanded its local presence and opened a Mumbai office. Even so, no formal announcement has been made yet. Until then, fans are holding onto the growing anticipation.
Meanwhile, Taehyung remains busy with his schedule. Recently, it was disclosed that he will be on the cover of Vogue Japan’s February 2026 edition. The shots were later shared by the outlet, with the 29-year-old also posting images on his Instagram.
