Hannah Einbinder closed out her Emmy acceptance speech for Best Supporting Actress in Comedy Series with a concise message that couldn’t completely make it unscathed through CBS censorship.
“I just want to say, finally, Go Birds, fuck ICE, and Free Palestine. Thank you!”
The Hacks star came out on top of an impressive array of nominated actresses, consisting of Liza Cólon-Zayas, Kathryn Hahn, Janelle James, Catherine O’Hara, Sheryl Lee Ralph, and Jessica Williams, using her platform to uplift causes she believes in.
Einbinder, who is open about her strong ties with Judaism and faith, has also never been afraid to speak on social justice issues like the situation in Gaza, queerness, and Big Oil.
